Add places to the map
The map below uses a tool develop by Platial. Anyone can add a place marker to the map and upload photos, add comments, or indicate that they have been there too. Here's how to add a place:
- At the bottom of the map, enter information in the text boxes. Type a place name and an address (or Lat,Long) and press the "Add" button.
- You can also navigate to a place using the zoom and arrow buttons, and then click directly on the map to add a new place.

Do the photo scavenger hunt
Feel free to find these items, take a picture, and upload them along with a placemarker to the map above! Make sure you identify the item with the appropriate number, along with a description so that other citizens can follow your hunt!
- a green building
- an urban wetland
- an alternative source of transportation
- your local source of drinking water
- a well-used bike rack
- the closest source of food production to where you live
- your local food store
- the tree that stores the most carbon in your neighborhood
- a fisherman, forester, or farmer
- creative use of "recycling"
- something with the word "salmon" in it (other than Salmon St.)
- bigfoot or Willamette River Beast or Rose Garden Chupacabra
- the world's smallest park
- a statue or historical landmark
- animal friends (bonus points for those with more than 4 or less than 2 legs)
- the friendliest person you introducted yourself to for this scavenger hunt, and his or her brief story
- a stranger you convince to declare his or her citizenship
- a native species
- a Douglas Fir
- a salmon-colored rose
